NTTC Thanks Administrator Robin Hutcheson for Leadership at FMCSA

The National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) thanks Administrator Robin Hutcheson for her successful tenure with the Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA), as she is departing the agency on January 26. Administrator Hutcheson’s steady, safety-focused leadership came at a time of multiple simultaneous tank truck industry challenges, and her engagement with industry stakeholders made her an invaluable partner.

Administrator Hutcheson’s work at FMCSA has been marked by key actions that improve roadway safety and the quality of life for drivers. She led the development of the National Roadway Safety Strategy and secured over $10 billion in funding for various safety programs. Her tenure also saw the establishment of the Women of Trucking Advisory Board, changes to the Safety Measurement System, and other important safety measures and mandates.

NTTC President and CEO Ryan Streblow stated, “FMCSA Administrator Hutcheson proved to be an effective leader and partner for the tank truck industry over her three-year tenure. Additionally, she has been an important ally for addressing regulations and policies guided by the real-world operating challenges that are faced by our members. NTTC is appreciative of her willingness to collaborate with us and looks forward to continued work with Acting Administrator Sue Lawless in the near future.”
