Tank Truck Week 2021, one of the tank truck industry’s first exhibitions to return to in-person offerings since the COVID-19 pandemic, concluded with a solid showing from representatives hailing across North America. From the exhibit hall, to the information sessions, to the recognition of our safety professionals, the tank truck industry and the National Tank Truck Carriers are back in full form.

Those in attendance at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center in Dallas were treated to a wide variety of content reflecting current industry trends and issues. Together, participants venerated the winners of the North American Safety Contest, heard updates on the landscape of the industry from ATA and ATRI, and witnessed Chief Richard Picciotto deliver a gripping firsthand account of his day as an FDNY battalion commander on September 11th, 2001.

The Safety & Security Council convened to address the safety landscape, laying the groundwork for enhanced safety and maintenance content for the upcoming year. The council also welcomed Jerry Curl of G&D Trucking / Hoffman Transportation as its new National Chair, succeeding Terry Kolacki of Heniff Transportation.

Tank Truck Week also offered informational sessions on a wide variety of important industry topics. The sessions were organized into specialized tracks addressing safety, tank wash, maintenance, and technology. Topics addressed included cyber security, connected freight corridors, the state of the truck and trailer supply chain, a regulatory update, and much more.

NTTC thanks to all of the suppliers, sponsors, and attendees for making Tank Truck Week 2021 a huge success. We look forward to engaging the industry at Tank Truck Week 2022 in Houston.
